Wedding Ring Found After Being Lost At Sea
When Casey Brooks went swimming at high tide and lost his wedding ring in the water, he didn't think there was any way he'd ever see it again. Fortunately, an anonymous hero with a metal detector saved the day and tracked it down only hours after it was lost.
Casey and his wife Lindsey spent the day at a beach in Atlantic City, New Jersey and while swimming at high tide he felt the ring slide off his finger. Straight away he started feeling around the ocean floor but to no avail. His wife joined him with a pair of goggles, but the waves and current made it impossible to see. With heavy hearts the couple left the beach and returned later in the hope of finding it at low tide.
When the couple came across a woman with a metal detector, they asked if she'd found a wedding band but unfortunately she hadn't. The woman wanted to help and waded knee-deep into the water. In less than 10 minutes she claimed she heard a sound on her headphones. Casey sifted through the sand and to his amazement found his wedding ring buried more than a foot deep.
Casey pulled out his wallet and gave the mystery woman a $100 reward. She also posed with for a picture his wife took to remember the moment. He said, "I didn't even get her name but she got big hugs from my wife and me."
